Tonya’s House is a great residential house. When I was having problems and I really needed a place, I was told about it and I was accepted.
I was real unsure about it at first, but after talking with the House Coach I felt more comfortable. The house gives you a sense of responsibility and how it’s not all that easy to be an adult. It actually made me realize how much I take life and what I have for granted.
After being in the program, I realize that I am a different person toward everything. I appreciate everyone who helped put this program together.

We would like to say thank you for having a safe place for our daughter to go and get some help. Its very comforting to know there’s a place for the girls to go and not be living on the street. The staff are great in giving support to the girls and also to us the parents. We hope you continue having a safe haven for the kids to turn too.

Testimony from a Youth served by Tonya’s House
Tonya’s House was a great experience for me. It helped me kind a feel what its like being on my own. I got to figure out who I was and where I was at, at that point in my life.
Along the way I had people helping me by giving me support. I felt ready and confident by the time I went home. In the end Tonya’s House really helped me.
Success Story
In December 2005, a 21 year old pregnant woman who was homeless came to Tonya's House. Staff assisted her with appointments, dietary needs and assisted her in maintaining employment and finding an apartment. The young woman still keeps in touch and is proud of achieving her goals with the help of Tonya’s House.
